The state recession lasted 16 months, ending in December 2009, according to budget analysts. The state lost 353,000 private-sector jobs in that time—or 23,000 more jobs than the previous depression, which lasted twice as long.

Ernest Enjoyed Sports, Mainly Boxing While Growing Up In Connecticut.
 After Graduating From New Haven, He Joined The Navy Where He Served For Ten Years Until 1945. After A Few Unsatisfying Jobs, His Mother Suggested That His Strong Personality, Would Make Him An Ideal Candidate For An Acting Career. Ernest Listening To His Mother's Suggestion And Enrolled At The Randall School Of Drama In Hartford.

In 1949, Ernest Made His Acting Debut On Broadway Playing A Male Nurse In "Harvey." Borgnine Moved To Los Angeles To Consider A Film Career In 1951, A Debut As Bill Street In The Whistle At Eaton Falls. His Career Took Off In 1953, And Was In From Here To Eternity As Sargent "Fatso" This Performance Open The Door For Ernest As He Landed Various Roles In Dramas And Westerns Developing His Film Making Career.

I Guess Sometimes It Is Difficult To Put A Name To A Face Until I Started Researching This Article. Oh, What Memories I Shared With My Grandpa And Dad Watching Old Movies That Starred Ernest Borgnine.

One Of My Favorites Was "The Wild Bunch" About A Group Of Elderly Bank Robbers Trying To Make One Last Heist Before Going Down In A "Blaze Of Glory" Before Retiring Their Guns. I Mostly Remember Borgnine Starring In The Series "Little House On The Prairie" The Lord Is My Shepherd Part 1 And 2 Of The Series. He Played The Role Of Jonathan, A God-Like Role, Living On A Mountain Where Laura Ingalls Had Run Away To Find God And Found Jonathan Instead. Borgnine Always Seemed To Play A Role As A Kind And Generous Person, Who Always Offers Advice, Playing Roles That Were Strong And Compassionate That The Viewer Could Relate To Their Lives
